June 13 - Chad’s Back!!

Today Chad gave us a crazy warm up. It is called the SPECK.  We had to hold a plank for three minutes, suspend our feet six inches off the ground, flutter flicks and hold a push up  one inch off the ground.  In case you’re wondering I wasn’t nowhere close to one inch, more like six.  It was really, really hard, but I actually enjoyed it.  Holy crap, I just said I enjoyed it!  What’s wrong with me?  Shhhh...don’t tell Chad!

First day of year two!

Well, today was the first day of year two.  The first year we focused on health, mechanics and building our endurance.  Year two we are going to focus on becoming stronger, feeling more energized and transform our bodies. It’s been a tough year for me.  I’m a klutz and have three compressed vertebrates in my neck which has resulted in excruciating neck pain and massive headaches.  My chiropractor gave me a thirty dollar lecture and made me cut out all sugar and processed food from my diet.  He said sugar is causing added inflammation and making things worse. I’m 19 days sober 😜 and feeling a lot better.  I can’t lie it’s hard, but I’m desperate and hopeful cutting it from my diet (or limiting it) I will heal more rapidly.
